Interpane presents the new coated basic glazing iplus E

05.08.05

High-tech glass for comfort and reduced heating costs
Improved heat insulation, exceptionally high light transmittance and passive solar energy gain: With the high-tech coating “iplus E” Interpane presents a new coated basic glazing (low-E). Even the double glazing unit with standard argon filling achieves 1.1 W/m²K (Ug-value as per EN 673) – at a light transmittance of 80 percent. A combination for excellent comfort. The higher thermal insulation of “iplus E” also reduces the energy consumption, which in view of increasing heating costs and the Energy Performance Certificate (as of 2006) is a major issue for house-builders.

Interpane Solar Control Glazing

18.01.05

High performance values for solar control
High light transmittance and reduced solar heat penetration - Interpane is extending its range of solar control products with two types of glazing (ipasol neutral 73/39 and ipasol neutral 50/25). Regardless of whether energy-saving or aesthetic aspects determine the building concept, the glazing broadens both the architect's and the planner's scope for design. Thanks to its optimised coating, ipasol neutral 73/39 offers an exceptionally high light transmittance factor for solar control double-glazing of 73 percent.

KRAGSTUHLMUSEUM / TECTA-Archive Lauenförde

13.01.05

A loved Legacy
Museum exhibits can be seen to their best advantage in daylight. At the same time, visitors want to enjoy pleasant room temperatures all year round, a combination which causes potentially enormous efforts, and thus costs, for air conditioning. The new KRAGSTUHLMUSEUM Lauenförde - the last work of Peter Smithson, inaugurated in autumn 2003 by Walter Gropius' daughter Ati - masters this task.
