Innovation award for triple
insulating glass iplus 3CL

Interpane receives the “Glassex Best of Show Award 2008”

The innovation award “Glassex Best of Show Award 2008” by the international exhibition Glassex / GP&T was just awarded to Interpane Glas Industrie AG for their new triple insulating glass iplus 3CL. Alan Hartland (export manager at Interpane) accepted the award from James Cower (Group Exhibitions Director – EMAP.) at the trade fair in Birmingham. Due to the combination of excellent heat insulation (Ug-value) and a high total energy transmittance (g-value) iplus 3CL absorbs more energy than it releases to the outside. The results of that are considerable solar energy gains.

Tailor-made glass for the “Hamilton House”

Visual, solar, heat, and sound protection for an office building/8,500 square metres of glass solutions

The “Hamilton House” in London’s Broadgate quarter is an office building that is owned by British Land Company PLC, which is one of the UK’s largest real estate and investment companies. The building was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (London) and draws a lot of attention. The front elevation of the building is arched, featuring a structural glazing facade (ipasol 68/34) with partial screen printing. This stylish design helps to obscure  people’s ability to see the furniture inside. It’s “warm facade” looks like a protective shield and provides for an excellent energy balance, improves sound protection, and withstands all the physical stress that are caused by wind, temperature deviations, and vibrations from the adjacent Liverpool Street Station.
